I concur with Enderman's perspective. Utilize third-party utilities to verify hardware frequencies and temperatures. It’s unclear what triggers this behavior, but I suspect Windows might be showing the default settings from your motherboard instead of your actual performance metrics.

I also use those tools, and I really like them, though it can be annoying at times and I often hope they function better.

Sure, the W10 Task Manager appears functional, but occasionally it may malfunction with no available solutions, so don't depend on it for overclocking.
