This update comes after an upgrade phase, allowing a clean installation. Microsoft anticipates launching Threshold 2 (TH2), a large collection of fixes and improvements for Windows 10. It will be more extensive than the previous Windows 10 update via Windows Update and will mark the first major OS upgrade experience similar to transitioning from Windows 7/8 to Windows 10. It won't qualify as "Windows 10.1." The next version, 10.1, is expected for early next year, likely coinciding with the release of Windows 10 Mobile. I'm referring to what's being called Windows 10 SP1, though it won't be labeled as such.
