Hello, with the AMD Ryzen High Power Plan, the PC barely responds when using Windows High Power settings—it powers on quickly but shuts down after just a couple of seconds. Anyone know what's causing this issue? Thanks!

The sleep function in Windows seems to be problematic for me; I consistently encounter issues every time I enable it. I should never use it again!!

Sleeping is really annoying. Usually it functions well for me, but often it fails completely and I need to turn on my computer again. It's frustrating.

Why are there so many problems? I've been letting my computers rest for ten years mostly due to user mistakes. Just check that your BIOS sleep setting is set to 3 and turn off all wake timers, wake on LAN, and so on. Do you rely on the power button to wake the machine? I use the high-performance mode in Windows, which I customized to keep the hard drive running. There could be other hidden issues at play. Are any programs still active during sleep? You might want to run memtest86 to test your RAM.

The only times I remember the PC having issues waking from sleep were mostly related to hardware or firmware problems. One case involved faulty RAM despite passing tests, while another stemmed from a UEFI update. If a computer struggles to stay asleep, there are methods to identify the underlying cause.
