I've just set up my new machine and am attempting to install Windows from a USB drive. The installation asks for a missing media driver, which is an issue since I don’t have a disc drive and am using a laptop instead of a PC. I’m currently running Linux and need help—I just want to play games.

Insert the USB drive into a USB 2.0 port and attempt the connection again.

I used a boot USB for testing purposes. Here are its specifications: [list details]. If you haven’t updated the BIOS yet, I recommend doing so now.

Currently, the only OS I can provide is Linux Mint version 19.1.

Attempt to power on the USB from the second computer – it will indicate whether the installation media is in poor condition or if your BIOS settings are incorrect.

Have you checked every other USB connection? Ensure your file system uses NTFS. Switch the SATA setting to IDE within the BIOS settings and restart the device.

I've checked all options except switching SATA to IDE, but I can't locate the BIOS setting. Trying to use MSI B450 Tomahawk.
