Windows 10 was released some time ago, and I wasn’t really concerned at first. Now I am. Every attempt to install it is failing. I used the Windows 10 MediaCreationToolx64 with the "Upgrade this PC now" option, but got the error 0xC1900101 - 0x20017. It seems the Hamachi driver was involved. I removed that driver and tried again, but it still didn’t work for another reason I don’t know. I attempted to make a bootable drive, but it wouldn’t boot from there either. I downloaded the ISO and used rufus with a Windows 7 USB/DVD tool, but it also didn’t boot. Can someone assist me with this problem? I really want to get Windows 10.

Remember that setting up a bootable USB requires adjusting the BIOS settings, not just powering on the computer.

Have you attempted creating the bootable USB on a different machine? (Also, keeping it simple means referencing others' advice when you respond.)

I didn't specify any options in Rufus. Could you clarify what you mean by "options"?

I didn't do it since I don't have another PC.

Also, make sure to back up your crucial files and clear all items from the Add/Remove Programs section. Additionally, remove any unusual drivers—booting from USB won’t work unless you install the ISO inside Windows. You can then burn the ISO to a USB drive and use it within Windows by clicking Setup.exe on the USB.
