I experienced the same issue before, so I’ve switched my work PC back to Windows 8.1 temporarily. It’s hard to locate a solution and I stopped mid-setup when trying to switch to 8.1. I discovered it was available in Technical Preview until the February release, after which nothing. A real letdown for sys admins. I can verify that rolling back from 8.1 works smoothly and efficiently once you upgrade.

Remote Server Administration Tools such as Active Directory and Failover Cluster Manager are involved. I might need to revert at that point—I joined the excitement too quickly, I think. Appreciate the feedback.

It’s much better to test the software yourself rather than just reading others’ reports. I really like version 10 over 8.1, and I hope Microsoft will take this into account. I’ve also shared my feedback.

It's accurate, I appreciate how everything flows smoothly. With Windows 8 it seemed like two separate operating systems and felt sluggish.

I totally understand. 8.1 seems a bit outdated now that I’m back at work, grr.

MSTC remains functional for me, perhaps I simply had a good chance.
