Checking if an upgrade to Windows 10 1909 is beneficial. You're using 1903 and have noticed some update issues.

It was just a routine update for the systems using WSU. I aimed to improve stability and focus on enterprise needs, then added new features. After that, I scheduled updates every few months.

I upgraded from version 8.1 to 1909, but it’s leading to a lot of unexpected issues. If the "stability" patch removes support for older versions, then the goal is achieved.

New updates highlight bug corrections over new additions. Microsoft prioritized enhancing OS stability rather than introducing new features. Just like previous Windows 10 releases, it's important to check and install all drivers and software before upgrading. This ensures compatibility and minimizes potential problems.

I discovered additional bugs on my own. There was also a feature deletion, such as for my graphics card.

Sorry for the update. Microsoft isn't liable for stopping support from your graphics card manufacturer. Regarding the Windows 10 update, check the reported problems and any available fixes before proceeding to the newest version: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows...ws-10-1909 Typically, when a new release is made and Windows Update identifies a known issue, the update won't be offered until the problem is resolved. Pushing updates isn't advised since it skips the upgrade stage and may not deliver the intended result.

It seems 1909 is often linked to gaming problems on various sites. Performance can vary greatly depending on your setup. I also experienced slowdowns back then, but after updating to Windows 10 everything works smoothly—plans to share an update in about three months. Windows might interpret this as a sign of trouble, so a fresh install could be wise. It’s interesting that @Bombastinator isn’t aware of this connection. Maybe they had a rough day?

It handled the task by continuously refreshing my GPU driver to a version that wasn't functioning properly.

That's why you disable automatic driver updates. You might even choose specific hardware or drivers. Just let me know how you'd like to proceed—Windows can be tricky, and I don’t have any guidance from my team!

I attempted but couldn't solve the issue. I followed the advice to set the internet to "metered," which seemed like a workaround, but it didn't work well. Now I'm frustrated since the driver I used is no longer available.
