Hi everyone, I recently got Windows 10 Pro a few years ago. After turning off updates, it ran very smoothly. Version 1511 is missing several new improvements. Doing multiple updates over two years feels like a long wait, so I’m hesitant to turn them on again. Right now I’m thinking about cleaning up my system and starting fresh. I bought a valid key from a site many years back.

a) Where can I get Windows 10 Pro again?
b) Do I need to contact Microsoft or something to reactivate my serial key after reinstalling?
c) Will the latest ISO I download include all the newest updates?
d) What new features should I be aware of and turn off in the latest version?

You can access the download link for a tool tailored to Windows 10 installations here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software.../windows10. For B, simply enter your product key and it should reactivate your version in PC Settings. For C, ensure you run Windows Update to verify all updates are installed. For D, I understand Microsoft Edge is now Chronium-based; I’d investigate further to confirm no settings need changing.

Ensure everything works properly by disabling built-in spyware on Windows 10. Be careful, as this might affect core features. You're being warned.

What is your internet speed? Updating takes about the same time as a full reinstall and downloading missing files, then restarting the necessary programs. The installation usually doesn’t update much.

You can simply download the Windows ISO file, extract it onto your hard drive, and proceed with the upgrade.
