I accepted my loss. My Google skills didn’t help much. The main goal was to move folders and files between two Windows 10 machines using an unmanaged network switch. One machine runs "Windows 10 Pro for Workstations build 1803" while the other is on vanilla Windows 10 Pro. The issue is that the workstation-only computer can only see a few devices and can’t connect to any shared folders. I attempted to enable services such as SSDP Discovery, UPnP Device Host, and Function Discovery Services. I also tried SMB 1.0 CIFS File Sharing Support. I reviewed this forum post, but the problem remains unchanged. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...f360e9ffdf Anyone else facing similar challenges? Thank you.

Did you attempt to launch File Explorer and input the path: \\<computer name>? For instance, if your computer name is KrampusWorkstation2000, enter \\KrampusWorkstation2000 and press Enter.

Yes, I can log in and browse folders on the Windows 10 device, but not vice versa. When attempting to connect the "workstation" computer, I encounter this specific error.

Have you checked turning off the Windows firewall to test its functionality?

I don’t belong to any domain. I have an old domain server, but it’s no longer functional—it doesn’t support Windows 7 or later, and it wasn’t part of a workgroup anymore since 1803.

Have you attempted to turn off password requirements? Network center --> Advanced settings for shares --> All networks (at the very bottom)
