Hello everyone, I began setting up my PC and it launched Windows. It began updating between 1803 and 1809, but I notice 1809 has several issues. I don’t want it to download automatically, so I’m trying to disconnect from the internet just in case. What should I do? Please help!

It's hard to change anything if it's already saved and ready to restart. Some problems are fixed too. In the settings, you can pause updates for up to 30 days, but after that they'll install everything missing right away.

It seems you're seeking reassurance about a decision made in 1809. There are concerns about data safety, especially regarding file loss and lingering issues. You've taken a break to reassess, planning to revisit the situation in 35 days.

File deletion comes from a known folder redirection that was resolved some time back

It remains unacceptable. With your Pro, you may postpone the Windows 1809 upgrade for up to a year.

You can increase the delay time beyond the standard limit. Just check the settings or contact support for options.

Check the Windows Update Group Policy section, which includes a choice to postpone the upgrade.
