You're planning to assemble a new PC and are curious about reactivating your Windows 10 Pro account via your Microsoft account. Will this preserve the 32-bit operating system? If you switch from your old 32-bit Windows 10 Pro to a new machine, it will remain 32-bit unless you take steps to upgrade. To change it to 64-bit, you'd need to modify the system settings or use a different installation method. Since this is your first time building a computer, it might help to review the process carefully and consider what you're comfortable with. Thank you for reaching out!

Remain in 32-bit, a new key is required and a fresh install is needed to upgrade to 64-bit

You can still add the 64-bit version. No new key required.

Are you sure? I thought they were unique. Anyway, it seems like you're not too surprised.

The same password works for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, but you shouldn't use them together. Running them simultaneously requires a different key. Store packages that include both 32-bit and 64-bit versions under one product key.

You can use your Microsoft account to transfer Windows 10, or you can enter your old key directly.
