I installed both Windows 10 and Linux Mint, and the internet speed on Windows seems much slower than expected. I've already tried basic troubleshooting steps and standard fixes, but nothing helped. The system clocks appear to be off, which might be causing the issue, but my own clock is also incorrect. I don’t need a full IT team—just curious if others have faced this problem and found a solution. Thanks!

I understand the anticipated variation, yet the proximity to 125 Mbps suggests it might align with a typical network configuration, around one-eighth of a gigabit.

It's unusual being in the 1/3 range. I ran a speed test using Speedtest.net on the same server as you, and I received around 400 Mbps on Windows. I also have 600 Mbps from Shaw. It might be a Windows configuration issue.

I'm using an Asus Prime X570-P with a Realtek RTL8111H NIC. After installing the latest 10.38.1118.2019 driver, the test confirmed a speed of 145 Mbps, which confirms my assumption about the 125 Mbps limit.

Great news! I discovered a tool named TCP Optimizer that resolved my problem. I performed a check and it appears safe. Given its long-standing use, I feel confident about it. Link: https://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php
