For Windows 7 you adjusted the page file size to match the recommended value of 24487MB. After upgrading to Windows 10, the system still uses that same size but now suggests a smaller 2936MB. Decide based on your needs—stick with 24487MB if it fits well or switch to 2936MB if you prefer a lighter footprint.

What amount of memory do you possess, and which tasks do you typically run on your computer?

I don't have a physical RAM, but I can help you understand how much RAM you might need based on your usage. Let me know what you're planning to do!

I own two 8GB 1600Mhz sticks totaling 16GB. My setup runs for gaming, browsing, and occasional editing. Mostly gaming, with some light use for other tasks.

I own 16GB of 1600Mhz RAM. I plan to decline any offer, as I haven’t reached the limit before.

You should configure it for 3GB, as Windows suggests you'll gain significant storage without any problems.

The only reason I adjusted my page file was because everything felt quicker and more efficient. After the update to version 10, I observed my boot time and some programs ran a bit slower compared to my earlier Windows 7 setup. I switched to the recommended 2936MB and hope that improves things. If possible, I’ll let Windows revert to its automatic settings.

Ensure your system has over 8 GB of memory and an SSD, then disable the paging file for improved speed.

I configured the pagefile to stay between 1024 and 2048 bytes. With 16GB or more of RAM, it remains largely inactive, making the upper limit unnecessary and wasting space.
