I’m looking for a solid hard drive that includes Windows 10, or a more affordable version without paying full price for Windows.

You can generate an installer by visiting Microsoft's site directly. Look for the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool in the search results.

Purchasing a used device often includes pre-installed Windows. Verify during the transaction whether an activated version is present or if the seller retains the internal drives.

I wouldn't purchase from these platforms. I'd avoid buying a W10 key even more than purchasing from Kinguin, because many sellers there employ stolen credit cards and several keys could be invalid or inactive right away or later on.

This could depend on the seller's rating; however, reputable sellers with thousands of reviews tend to be trustworthy since they’re typically removed from platforms before reaching such numbers. Most buyers are protected by insurance if issues arise with the product or key. In many regions, software and games are priced lower due to economic factors or high piracy rates, often being resold online. For Windows 10 licenses, bulk purchases for OEM use can be very affordable, sometimes as low as $10 per key, depending on location. This doesn’t mean it’s common, but it’s realistic. I don’t aim to promote grey market sites, yet it’s natural to question why a small number appears to be problematic when the broader picture is different. People who feel harmed usually voice their concerns more forcefully, which explains the perception of widespread issues.

You need to set up Windows because during installation it sets the appropriate drivers and creates a snapshot of your system. If you move a hard drive to another machine, Windows might stop working properly without the correct drivers installed. Simply visit Microsoft’s site and download the Windows 10 media creation tool. You can install Windows without a license and use it unactivated. Alternatively, you could purchase a low-cost grey market key or an OEM key, which is more affordable than buying a retail version.
