Hello everyone, I'm using Windows 10 version 1803. I checked my Windows Update and haven't received the 1809 update yet. I downloaded the 1809 ISO file to save it on my flash drive. When I try to open the ISO and install it, I'm worried if my files will stay in all partitions or if everything will be wiped? Could you help me with this? Thanks!

Install the media creation tool and let it enhance your system, no data will be lost. Remember, keeping backups is wise—especially after major updates like the initial 1809 release.

I recommend postponing the installation of 1809 until further notice due to several significant issues. Microsoft does not release an update for Windows Update to users or PCs that could lead to complications. Read more here: https://www.windowslatest.com/2018/11/27...s-enabled/ For your other question, consider using the upgrade option while keeping all files intact.

It seems the software isn't visible due to driver conflicts with Windows version 1809. It's best to wait for a Microsoft update rather than install manually.

Downloaded and installed the 1809 update recently. Everything seems to be working smoothly so far. Just need to ensure all drivers and software remain current.
