They all popped into my head when asked about installing something. The issue is that most USB drives can't be erased, which is why I'm having trouble getting it done.

First: what version of Windows are you trying to install?| Ok,it's in the title... :d Second: buy another USB stick and make copy fo your installation usb stick. You may also try different software like unetbootin, balenda etcher and so on to install iso to the usb. Also, you may want to manually delete partition table, if tehre is any, on the drive you are trying to install to. Which brings the question, what kind of drive are you trying to use? Is tehre another OS present there?

It's a clean USB drive containing just the installation files. I'm only interested in installing Windows, not any other operating system. Edit: I'm setting it up on a brand-new 120GB WD Green drive at Keik.

Avoid the current display appearance. Use installation with one memory stick in the first slot to fix or lessen compatibility problems.
