Windows 10 New PC – unusual freezes (likely due to NZXT CAM)
I'm operating on 2004, but that doesn't explain much for me. I also considered going back to 1909—it's a frustrating issue because it's so erratic, possibly caused by anything from drivers to software conflicts. Honestly, I don't think CAM is well thought out. Right now it runs 9 processes and uses over 1 GB of RAM, which feels excessive. If I weren't limited by hardware, I'd remove it right away. Next time I'll be more informed.
Hello everyone, I received a notification from NZXT Support indicating my PC is functioning well, maintaining a stable performance for over ten days without any freezes. @Korben @Imannudein @Jayrii @Minions78 @zaborudo I'm using CAM version 4.10.1 and have kept the system running continuously for at least ten days during testing. According to NZXT: "Hello! I apologize you're experiencing issues with our CAM software. Would you consider trying to remove the NZXT CAM directory located at C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\NZXT CAM? You can also open it by typing %appdata% in your Windows search bar and press Enter. If this doesn't fix the problem, use Revo Uninstaller to delete any remaining files from CAM before reinstalling it. https://www.revouninstaller.com/products...ller-free/" Then proceed with a fresh installation. As a precaution, I turned off Windows Autostart and minimized CAM when closing; RGB and fan settings are operational. I'm still using Windows 10 2004. Appreciate everyone's help."
It seems I’m only aware of the update to 4.10.1, and I didn’t experience any freezing afterward. The latest version is 4.11.0.
