Windows 10 multiple monitor wallpapers problems (2-3 screens)
Hey everyone, I'm facing a strange problem with one of the newer Windows updates. It lets you customize background images for different monitors, but it doesn't seem to work properly on my main work machine. When I right-click and choose a picture, it just displays monitor "3" everywhere. Even though I try to assign different images to each monitor, all three still show the same picture.
I have a Samsung monitor connected via DVI-D to the PCIe Radeon 8490, an ASUS monitor on DP to the same graphics card, and another Samsung monitor using the built-in Intel GFX via DP. I also removed the third graphics card temporarily for testing, changed the connections, restarted several times, cleared and reinstalled drivers, deleted the monitor drives and installed INF's directly.
The weird part is that even when I leave only two or one monitor connected, the Windows settings still list three monitors for selection but show a reduced count. HALP PLZ KTHX
I abandoned the attempt to use the Windows tool for managing wallpapers. Download the free Display Fusion version—no regrets.
Thanks for the suggestion! I've set it up and it functions perfectly. Much better than just resolving the problem.
