Kevin Turner, Microsoft’s Chief Operating Officer (per a Suisse Technical Confrence), discussed a potential subscription package combining Windows 10 with services like Skype and Office 365. He noted it could support ongoing growth and revenue, though it raises some concerns. Thanks to Kitguru for the insight: http://www.kitguru.net/gaming/operating-...n-service/
I believe it won't require a subscription. Each nation, including mine, would move to Linux or similar alternatives. About 99% of users here already use pirated Windows. They'd prefer greater availability at reduced costs, making it more accessible for those with limited means.
I dislike subscriptions... If Steam didn’t exist, nobody would use it.
A bit more, but still. Not everyone needs Office. I spent around 4500SEK (about 520USD) on my used MacBook. Adding 10USD for the upgrade to Lion made everything else free. With the iWork bundle on my MacBook, I’ve never paid a penny for productivity tools. That’s just my take.
