I previously used the media creation tool multiple times without issues, but it fails after a restart, showing a black screen and no signal. I had to remove and reinstall the memory. It then restarts back into Windows 8.1. Could be a problem with my custom PC?

Ensure W10 is installed on a different drive than Windows 8.1 (same partition). If not, disconnect the device from the location of Windows 8.1.
