You're experiencing sluggish performance because the laptop has been stuck in the Windows 10 logo mode for about 15 hours. This can happen if the system hasn't fully booted or if background processes are consuming resources. Try restarting it or checking for updates to resolve the issue.

Relocated to the Windows subforum. The setup should be quick once installed. If it’s been running for 15 hours, your storage drive might be failing or the installer could be damaged.

This appears to be "unlikely" the installer comes straight from Microsoft's site. HD Sentinel confirmed my laptop's HDD is in excellent shape.

I experienced issues after a Windows reinstall, often needing to restart the PC or searching online for solutions. Usually, a simple restart resolved the problem.

I experienced this once around 5 hours ago. After restarting, it launched to Windows 7 and displayed an error code "0x(some long number I didn't note)". I won't repeat that again.

Would you prefer to wait another 10-15 hours? The installer is encountering an issue. It might be worth giving up now. The estimated time should not exceed 1 hour or a little longer. Search online for your laptop model using terms like "windows 10 install" or similar to check if the problem is hardware-related.

Do you prefer installing from an unpacked ISO (recommended) or from a USB drive? If using USB, it might be a poor-quality drive. Make a folder on your C drive, unpack the ISO (or copy files from the USB), and run setup.exe.

I just verified, it seems there are no problems. But based on a Quora post, slow internet could take up to a full day. What speed would be ideal for one hour?

I saved the media creation tool and instead of generating an iso, it upgraded Windows from 7 to 10 directly. Likely it's running on an HDD.

You should think about replacing the existing setup rather than upgrading. However, switch to a different drive just in case. Unplug your current Win7 drive, attach the new one, and perform a fresh installation via USB. This ensures protection against hardware issues like compatibility problems.
