I'm facing an issue where Windows 10 freezes upon startup. The display works and the mouse responds, but clicking anywhere doesn't trigger any action. This happened after using my PC last night without problems, but suddenly it froze this morning when I tried to start it. I've experienced similar issues before and know that the only solution was to avoid using the PC for the entire day. Now I need to use it because I have tasks to complete. I can access the Windows diagnostic tools and tried booting into safe mode, but whenever it restarts to safe mode, it just shows a black screen. Anyone else have encountered this problem? What might be causing it?

When sharing a troubleshooting thread, ensure you provide all system specifications clearly. List them in the following format:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
Include the PSU's age along with its make and model.
BIOS version for your motherboard at this time?

I think it might be running system checks or applying updates quietly without notifying you.
I've noticed this when Windows chooses the ideal moment—like during boot or shutdown—to fetch xxGB updates from the Microsoft servers, but it doesn't show any details on the screen.
