Windows 10 key scam
Windows 10 key scam
Hello everyone, I purchased a Windows 10 Pro key today to upgrade from Windows 10 Home. When I tried using it, it didn’t work. After several messages with customer support, they informed me that the key wouldn’t apply because I hadn’t installed Windows 10 Pro and had only received a Pro key. I was surprised since many tutorials suggested entering the product key on the Home version. I might receive a full refund, but could anyone suggest reliable places to buy or verify Windows keys?
You’ve been purchasing items from eBay and repeatedly updated your product IDs during the setup process via the system settings activation page.
They didn’t send it by email, they gave me the key through an email instead. I haven’t found any instructions using the command line. The guides I’ve looked at only say to type the key into “change product id” under settings to switch from home to pro.
I'll look into it on eBay too. Are there any area limitations for the license?
Have you explored a clean installation of Windows? You can utilize a media creation tool to generate a bootable drive and start from there. Begin with the designated storage device, insert the key, and verify the process.
I've purchased keys on eBay around fifteen times without any problems. I've observed that the US eBay platform is becoming harder to locate online keys, possibly due to regulatory changes in the United States. The UK site, eBay.co.uk, seems unaffected and offers more sellers. Prices typically range from about $3 to $5 once converted from pounds sterling to USD.
