I managed the system from the command line, but after disabling it, it restarted within 5–6 days. Can you find a method to permanently stop automatic updates?

this occurs repeatedly before it continues updating. after installing the update and restarting everything, nothing happens until later when the same update is requested again. what i did was adjust group policy settings: disable automatic updates, set deferral for upgrades, change detection frequency, allow non-admin to get notifications, enable recommended updates through automatic update, and turn on client-side targeting.

Open Run, type msconfig, select Services, scroll down to Windows Update, uncheck the option, restart your PC, and it should resolve the issue.

I turned it off, but after a few hours or so it switched back on automatically.
