Windows 10 issues with USB ports not functioning.

You experienced an issue where your computer only booted after POST but didn’t work properly with the keyboard or mouse. The USB microphone and DAC powered up, but not the keyboard or mouse. After resetting BIOS to defaults and trying Windows repair, it worked again. Someone might know about power management settings or hardware conflicts.

It seemed odd at first. There was nothing pending for a Windows update, so it shouldn’t have caused any issues, and both my mouse and keyboard stopped simultaneously.

I've faced a similar problem too (it turned out to be my Corsair K70 but don't care). Maybe try updating the chipset driver if needed. You could look into the BIOS for a setting that fully configures your USB ports. Also, check what ports your keyboard is detected as—it might show up as 2.0 instead of 3.0 or vice versa.

During BIOS setup, fast boot needs verification. This occasionally turns off USB devices or slows them down, and in certain situations it stops some keyboards and mice from functioning properly.

Before, everything worked fine. I turned off the computer, and when I restarted it, it didn’t function properly. I also turned it off again, but the issue persisted.
