When you put your computer to sleep, it usually resumes shortly afterward. You can access the command prompt with administrative privileges and execute: powercfg -lastwake. This command will inform you about which device or software triggers the system wake-up.

It seems the device shuts down properly after pressing the power button or selecting the sleep option.

The bios remains current, using the latest release v1.8. This update was added in June 2014, okay?

It's worth checking if the HID driver is misinterpreting signals from your keyboard or mouse. Sometimes unexpected behavior can occur due to hardware issues or software conflicts.

You can turn off the human interface devices by adjusting their settings or disabling them entirely in the relevant configuration.

The simplest method is to disconnect your keyboard and mouse from the power source.

Hey! I spotted the issue—it was the joystick that was causing the system to stop timing out! I'm a bit frustrated since the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro never caused any problems in Windows 7. Great news though—this is something positive now. Thanks for your feedback and support!
