Hi, I just set up a PC for my friend with Windows 10 Home and an MSI Ventus RTX 2070. When he tries to boot into BIOS, everything works fine, but during Windows startup his monitor loses connection after about five minutes and he has to restart. He’s using an HDMI port. The NVidia drivers aren’t installed yet because the connection drops before downloading them. Can someone assist in fixing this? Thanks!

The power connector is securely connected? Have you experimented with another HDMI cable? This issue may arise when Windows attempts to install drivers automatically and adjusts the monitors native resolution and refresh rate, yet the cable is faulty causing the monitor to lose signal at those settings.

He uses two HDMI cables, but it's unclear which HDMI standard they are, and both continue to experience the same problem.

Open the computer in safe mode using the provided link. Then install the latest Nvidia drivers to ensure everything functions properly.

My friend appeared to face some issues with DDU, but I’ll bring my GPU over so we can install the drivers on Windows for a while.
