I own a laptop equipped with i5-8300H, GTX 1060 6GB Mobile and Intel UHD Graphics 630. Not long ago, my Windows faced user permission issues, so I had to generate a new account and transfer all data, including %appdata%, which contained important application files. Since then, my machine occasionally experienced random screen blackouts lasting about 0.1 seconds, typically 2 to 3 times, especially when viewing videos in full screen on Chrome. This issue disappears during gaming sessions, suggesting the problem may stem from the graphics card itself. There are also permission restrictions where certain folders block changes unless I manually adjust settings in Settings → Properties and set the owner to the new account. The owner field showed a random string I couldn't locate in the user list. I've tried updating drivers for both the integrated and external GPU, running SFC/scannow and restoring health, using a Windows 10 boot image to reinstall everything, but none resolved the problem. It seems these two concerns are linked. Are you looking for solutions other than a complete reinstall? Thanks ahead!
