It could relate to the page file, a section of your hard drive used for virtual memory. I experienced repeated crashes with a similar error message, likely due to a failing hard drive that happened to be the one storing the page file. Running Check Disk might be helpful.
I share the same view too. A static page file size doesn’t change automatically and with 24GB RAM, the calculation suggests a pagefile size of around 60GB. That would require a large mapping address space, which older schemes don’t support. The system would likely face timeout issues that aren’t recognized as timeouts but as page faults.

Disk condition isn't always tied to storage space. Even if a disk appears empty, poor health can cause similar problems. I recommend using Run ChkDisk to check for bad sectors.
