Hey everyone, I just switched from Windows 7 to Windows 10 using the PC parts I bought in 2014. It’s working well now and feels familiar compared to my old MacBook Air. I faced an issue with Windows 7 where CPU usage stayed at 100% after every restart—task manager showed it was the USERNAME-pc setting. After upgrading, the problem didn’t disappear. Now I can’t put my PC to sleep or shut it down, and it automatically restarts afterward. What should I do? Just a heads-up, I have a valid Windows license.

Have you checked the Windows Update section? Try it now...

Others faced the same issue, likely related to "TeamViewer" Your PC occasionally wakes up during sleep—still unsure of the cause.

I haven’t created a new Windows 10 setup yet. You mentioned upgrading from Windows 7, so I’ll proceed with that.

I performed an upgrade, which could explain the issue with your CPU usage since it doesn’t format your HDD.

I recommend backing up your data and doing a fresh installation. These resources could indicate malware or a virus affecting the system. I've encountered some serious threats acting in this way online.

I’d recommend saving just the essentials, such as family pictures or important documents. If you store music, videos, or games, there’s a chance the backup could include the virus unexpectedly, leading to similar issues.
