Windows 10 issue on your friend's laptop model ACER E 15 (E5 576G 59AB)
I shared this post last month, but my friend's laptop keeps restarting automatically. I resolved it by downloading the faulty driver manually and applying Windows Update again. The issue stopped after that. I also replaced the old HDD with an SSD. TL;DR the loop returned today—he messaged me it’s happening again. It seems the problem might be elsewhere since I used known good RAM and ran a memory test, which showed no issues.
It’s likely that Windows believes it has a superior driver than what’s already there and attempts to install it. This often occurs with non-OEM drivers. It’s better to use the official driver from Acer, as they won’t be automatically updated by Windows updates, preventing such issues.
