Windows 10 isn't working properly for me.
I’ve started playing games after switching to Windows 10. Rome 2 crashes, BF4 doesn’t launch Punkbuster, so it boots me off the game, and my Asus soundcard isn’t working yet. Nothing seems to function properly. It wasn’t a surprise that Windows 10 was coming out; many assumed they’d update their software at their convenience. I can’t even run programs in Windows 7 compatibility mode.
This new operating system is a solid launch, arriving just a few weeks ago. If you expected no issues, you might be surprised by how many bugs it has.
I never imagined it would turn out so perfect. I should have blamed the developers of other programs. Game creators ought to consider, "Huh, Windows 10 is launching—maybe we should start testing early to catch issues." It’s frustrating that Asus’ software won’t even launch. You really have to push yourself to be that stubborn. I’m not naive; I anticipated some problems. In everyday use I haven’t noticed many bugs. Then I powered on my gaming rig and, wow—it’s a disaster. I’m torn about whether a fresh install is worth the effort.
Repaired BF4 from scratch, originally done for me with a 3-year history.
