Hi, your Dell XPS 8500 is still running smoothly for about six years until recently. You were experiencing issues with your Dell Inspiron 530S (Windows 10, stock only) when you started using the XPS from the Inspiron's hard drive. After resolving the Inspiron problem and using it to copy CDs, you tried booting the XPS directly from its own drive. The next day, you encountered a BSOD with stop code 0xc000021a. You've searched online, tried various fixes, and even used the Reset This PC option without success. Booting in both chassis or with different hardware didn’t help. You’re stuck and wondering if this is fixable or if you need to replace your PC.

Clean the drive and reinstall Windows—these are the only options I’m aware of.

I thought it might be the Windows installation, but I tried starting from the drive on the Inspiron which still showed the same issue, and when I put it back in the Inspiron it worked. Meanwhile, the XPS drive keeps getting the error every time, no matter where I attempt to boot it.
