I need to prepare the formatting but it's a bit silly to read. I received a Windows 8 disc and started the process. After about 30 minutes, Windows Update showed 113 updates available. I tried downloading the Win8.1 update, waited three hours, and it failed to install. I retried, restarted my PC, went to the store, updated again, and succeeded on the 11th try, reaching 80 percent. It stopped after that and displayed a "FAILED" message. Afterward, I waited for Windows 8.1 to load, which took two hours. Continuing this pattern, if Windows 10 were released, it would take me 21 hours just to get it working. Overall? Yep, I'm really excited... but honestly, that's a lot of time!

I’m switching to a new tablet, and the technical preview performed much better than Windows 8.1 for touch interactions. (The virtual keyboard was a real pain—pressing the button every time felt annoying, and it often blocked my writing area.) On my desktop, I’ll also be upgrading soon. I’ll see how it works with a mouse and keyboard; if it doesn’t feel right, I can always go back to Windows 7.

I'm attempting to install Windows 10 across all devices in the home, but on my parents' machine the reserve icon isn't visible.

It should perform just as well as advertised.

I'm not sure about any SLI problems, but I've tested the latest insider preview with multiple monitors (three linked to my GTX 760) and with GeForce Experience enabled. It functions flawlessly for me—better than Windows 8 or 8.1 ever did.

I will, but on a separate drive. I will not upgrade my Win7 Pro until I am absolutely sure I like Win10 and that it works. I just reinstalled the Preview build and upgraded, and so far I like it but I haven't really done much with it so I can't make a decision yet. haha

It's mainly the SLI problem I'm concerned about, since it might cause driver conflicts. I think I'll wait a few days and keep an eye on the forum.
