I recently added a new SSD (SanDisk SSD Plus 240GB) to my second computer and chose to install fresh Windows 10 instead of using the old HDD. At first, everything seemed fine and the system ran smoothly. However, over time performance dropped significantly—there’s now a noticeable delay of about three seconds per letter while typing. Although my computer is quite old (bought in 2008), it performed well before the Windows update. I’m unsure what caused the slowdown but wanted to seek advice before reinstalling. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Verify the Task Manager to ensure background services such as Superfetch aren't consuming cycles. Turn off Microsoft Spyware and Tracking features.
