Windows 10 supports resolutions beyond 4K/UHD, so it can handle 5K as well. Adjusting the display settings to 2.5K/QHD should work similarly to how Mac OS X handles scaling.

Why would you need a 5K display? From what I understand, only Apple seems to use it, and I’m not sure why 4K isn’t enough for me.

Scaling would be acceptable. Windows doesn't support it directly, but it can convert the resolution to fit a 5K display.

With a high resolution screen, you stay there forever. Low resolution under 200 PPI on a desktop causes blurriness for me. I used to talk about Mac OS X, but I have a 5K iMac now.
