Windows 10 is causing issues with my hard drive.
I've just updated Windows 10 and it's really stressing my hard drive. Right now, a service host is using all the disk space and making it much slower than running Windows 7 on my Pentium M. It took about 10 minutes to load the start screen in Edge and even longer to open Task Manager. With 16GB of RAM and an i7-3520M, this shouldn't be possible. I've noticed netbooks often perform better.
It's been a while already. I don't remember it being this severe during Windows XP or the past seven days.
Your PC has been running since you set up Windows a few days ago. If you shut it down after installation, that might have affected it. After the setup completes, wait until it finishes before doing anything else. You can now look for available updates, apply them, or restart the installation from scratch.
No, I haven't installed the SATA drivers and chipset for your motherboard yet.
