Hello there, everyone. I’m just starting out on this forum and this is my very first message. I really need your assistance here. The issue is that Windows 10 keeps inserting US English and a specific keyboard layout without any clear reason. (Refer to Capture 1) In reality, only Bulgarian is installed—my native language—and UK English is set as the display language, with International English shown alongside the Bulgarian alphabet. (See Capture 2) These two images were taken almost instantly of each other. What I tried and failed includes resetting settings, changing display options, switching keyboard layouts repeatedly; checking location settings (set to the UK); adjusting time zones and formats; trying all automatic fixes Windows offers. The real solution seems to be adding the already present languages in the settings from the second photo and then removing them right away afterward. After that, the language options next to the clock return to what I actually added. Why this matters: This glitch is really annoying because I constantly switch between the languages I type (Alt+Shift if needed) and instead of choosing between two, I end up toggling between three or more (as shown in Capture 1). This makes it hard to know which layout is active at any given time, causing me to type in unintended language with a layout that looks something like this: " jdud éq jdud rph .eod udjf mrtkd kd / chd , iur ici dkh .rxiud u. dlrdjw ,d ". It’s frustrating. I’ve noticed others complain about the same problem, but it hasn’t been fixed in any OS updates since 2016. Many suggestions have been made in forum discussions, yet no clear consensus or working fix exists. Here are some links I found that talk about this: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/windows-1...rd-layouts https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...h=1&page=1 https://superuser.com/questions/483086/h...uts#484595 https://reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/...ts_without https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1...ly-returns I hope we can use this community and hopefully LMG to find a lasting fix, or at least get Microsoft to address this long-standing problem. Thanks, all! Ned

I encounter this problem occasionally, and I'm using PowerShell to eliminate languages I don't need.

Could you provide the PowerShell script you're referring to? I'm here to help you understand or fix it.

Also look for settings "enable system icons" and disable the input indicator if it’s causing the problem.
