I'm facing problems upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 using the media creation tool on Microsoft's site. The installation stops at around 100% and then shows a blue screen warning about Windows 10 installation failure, followed by a return to the desktop saying Windows 10 didn't install. Anyone with advice or solutions would be greatly helpful.

I don’t suggest updating your operating system. Opt for the straightforward method and reinstall your system from a USB drive.

Avoid leaving outdated files on your system. I've also heard some folks forced their data to fail during an upgrade. Keep your data safe. Create a bootable USB using RUFUS or the CMD with Diskpart—this method has consistently succeeded for me. Obtain a Windows 10 ISO, open it in Windows Exporter, and copy everything from the ISO to your USB drive. Restart the PC, boot from the USB, install Windows 10.
