It's not a hardware issue. Haha.
Those aren't valid instructions for resolving the bootloader problem.

I did all that once more, and now I’m completely drained, unsure what to do anymore. I’m not sure if the motherboard is the issue, even after updating the latest BIOS with no changes. I tried installing DCS without the M2, but it doesn’t appear as a bootable option. It works with GPT, but the USB only shows the GPT partition selected. I tested DCS on UEFI only, once I got to MBR and GPT, the disk was recognized during boot but no OS found. I also tried installing DCS in legacy mode after fixing MBR and GPT—still got a bootable device listed, but no OS detected. DCS is disabled for both GPT and MBR, and the M2 only shows up on NVMe connections in BIOS, not on bootable drives.
