Today I installed the latest Windows 10 because "y nawt". I downloaded the ISO from the official site and tried to use a USB drive, but couldn't find one. So I used a DVD instead, which I burned. After booting from the DVD, I realized I couldn't install it directly, so I had to back up my data, erase the drive, and repurpose it. The installation process was almost identical to Windows 8. As someone with limited experience, I was surprised to see both the display driver and wireless adapter working fine. After finishing, I opened Internet Explorer and downloaded Firefox and Chrome Canary—no question about why I did that. During Firefox setup, the screen flickered and displayed overscan effects. I clicked start, and Windows automatically installed the Catalyst suite. That was a big win (pun intended). Of course, I updated the drivers to 14.9 and added all necessary ones. Microsoft mentions on their site that drivers for Windows 8 should work with Windows 10. Overall, Windows 10 seems great for transitioning from Windows 7 or 8, blending the old UI with a modern design. Should you consider it? Yes, but make sure to research where to get drivers and how to install properly. Side note: Compatible motherboards and CPUs from Windows 8 should also work on Windows 10.

Initially seemed like a joke post. Why is it named Windows 10? What became of Windows 9? Shame on Microshaft—better go with Winblows instead.

I'm using it as my primary system. I'm placing full confidence in it and regularly backing up crucial data to my HDD. So far everything is working well. I really enjoy it.

There was no longer a version called Windows 9, it has been replaced by Windows 10.

It seems both systems achieved this independently.
