Observed that standard 8.1 upgrades to Windows 10 support 10 home editions, and I’m unsure if they restrict RAM like with Windows 7. Do you have any details? Check the upgrade editions page: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/...ifications

Core supports up to 192GB of RAM in 64-bit mode, probably including 10 Home. The 7 Home Premium and below versions cap at 16GB for 64-bit.

Remember to stick to your subjects. The main constraint you’ll face is the 4GB cap for 32-bit OSes, which reflects how Windows manages 32-bit systems.
