Windows 10 has problems with the sleep feature.
Reviewed update from February 28, 2021. Try all options and wait about two minutes after your screen turns off before powering down the PC, even though Windows indicates one minute. I’m facing the same issue: after manually setting it to sleep, it still wakes up quickly. Now I need it to power down automatically. @Mira Yurizaki suggested using the command line to check what’s keeping the system active. I ran `powercfg -requests` and got no output, but the system still appears to stay awake. I also checked BIOS settings and enabled S4-S5, which worked before—manually clicking start → sleep. Still, after a minute of inactivity, it doesn’t shut down. I’ve also used `sfc /scannow` and changed advanced power settings, but nothing changes. The report from the diagnostics says USB suspend isn’t entering sleep mode, yet the PC still powers on. This is frustrating, especially with energy savings in mind. I’m worried about the electric cap at my apartment being tight. Please help me figure this out.
