The cable is quite thin. The device won't recognize it, which often means the connection didn't work properly. It might be worth trying a different cable. For confirmation, it’s also producing very frequent connect and disconnect noises.

The accessory that arrived with the device was the cable, and I also used a Samsung cable from the S4 model.
