I purchased an Xbox controller for gaming, but the Windows drivers that came with it were incorrect, causing recognition issues. After uninstalling the faulty drivers, I tried reinstalling the proper ones, but the system kept installing the wrong driver again, even though I disabled automatic installation. The guides and tutorials provided didn’t resolve the problem. Anyone have any suggestions?

Which Xbox controller are you using? If it's the Xbox One controller, you'll need both the driver and the UWP Xbox App to set it up or update it. For the 360 version, just install the Windows driver automatically, or download the Win7 driver from the MS website and install it through Device Manager.
