Hey everyone, my computer kept restarting endlessly, so I downloaded the free Windows 10 upgrade ISO and made a bootable USB. It helped at first, but during installation I reinstalled Windows on another partition or drive than intended. Now when I start the clean install, my drives still show all the files from the old setup. Anyone know how to remove those leftover files? Also, will that also delete the important files I reinstalled? Thanks for your help, a fellow who’s faced this issue before

Begin by saving the Windows Media Creation Tool from the provided link. Follow the steps in the tool to generate a bootable USB drive for reinstalling Windows. Select your desired Windows version—7, 8.1 or 10—and choose between 32 or 64-bit format. After preparing the USB, disconnect all external hard drives except the one you intend to use as the C: partition. Once the PC is powered off, remove the flash drive and switch off the computer entirely. After a few moments, reconnect only the selected drive and restart the system. Enter BIOS settings if prompted to boot from the USB. The installation will proceed automatically, installing the operating system onto Drive C:. Upon completion, turn off the system again and reboot. You’re all set.
