You're thinking about setting up a new PC and want to know which operating system suits you best. You've tried Windows before, and now you're considering whether Windows 10 Education is better or different from the Home/Pro version. Since your main use will be gaming, you might want to focus on performance and features that support that. Let me know if you'd like more details!

I manage a school environment and use Windows 10 Education across our network. The Education edition is nearly the same as the Enterprise version, with just a few small differences you won’t notice. Additionally, the license you obtain might be linked to your school account. This doesn’t imply surveillance, but if it is connected, it could be removed when you move out of the institution.

I believe it won't be linked to my school at all. I found some articles online about how it functions in my country, and the text appears to be permanent. I’m only receiving this version now, and if it restricts access after I leave school, I’ll just purchase another copy elsewhere. Thanks for your response on this matter.

The licensing details vary based on the school's arrangement. For instance, students get up to five Office 365 licenses linked to their school computer account. Once they graduate, their account is turned off and the license is revoked.
