We've experienced a recurring problem since 1607 that bothers us a lot. When we generate an image for deployment, we usually set a default background in the personalization settings. After capturing and sending it to clients, the background turns completely black. This wasn't an issue before 1607, and we'd prefer not to rely on the GPO since some team members like custom backgrounds. I don’t usually ask for help, but I couldn’t find a solution through a quick online search. To be clear, only the color changed—no icons or UI elements disappeared.

The visual options seem straightforward. This applies to Windows 10 as well. Are you checking it directly or using a remote desktop connection?

It seems Windows isn't locating the image. This was a problem during my migration from Windows XP to 7. Verify the registry path is accurate, and confirm the account has access when syncing.

We referenced a file stored on a network location restricted to IT personnel. Saving a duplicate into the image may assist. Note: even the default background supports this feature.

If I had stayed in IT, I could have explored these things and worked alongside you. I left the industry in the early days of Windows 8, dedicating myself to software development.
