Windows 10 fails to display the file icon from the default application for an extension.
Despite changing and resetting Visual Studio 2019 as the default for .sln files, it continues to display the icon from Visual Studio C# 2010 Express. I rely on 2010 Express for courses to match the students' setup, while keeping VS 2019 for personal use. This illustration clarifies my point. You’ll notice that the highlighted (.suo) files have remained consistent after installing VS 2019. I’ve attempted to empty the IconCache, but it hasn’t helped.
