Windows 10 experiencing issues staying connected to the internet
Many users upgraded to Windows 10 to experience the updates and buzz. The setup went smoothly until internet use began. The connection appears stable, but it drops and reconnects every few seconds. I checked the drivers and noticed some were installed automatically. I also tried fresh drivers on my laptop, but nothing changed. Any suggestions for resolving this issue? My motherboard is an older Intel DZ68DB and the network card is an Intel 82579v. Help would be greatly appreciated!
It varies based on the Windows 10 version you're using. Some builds may have a patch or Intel could be addressing the issue. I'll look into further and update you soon.
Checked for BIOS updates on the motherboard after Windows 10 was installed.
It looks like the latest update hasn't resolved the problem. Are there any alternative approaches you'd like to explore?
Have you explored a newer version of the driver? Are you fully informed about Windows updates? Apologies for the delayed reply—I was at lunch.
I've searched for the latest driver for Windows 10. Updates are ongoing, but it appears the system is currently updating AMD drivers along with a security patch. A Reddit user shared they resolved the issue by using an older driver from 2009, though they can't find a way to install a newer one consistently.
Remove the existing driver and all related files using Device Manager and the Windows folder. Wipe all files then uninstall the driver via Device Manager. Restart your computer, ideally disconnecting it from the internet and having the old driver already installed. You should be able to reinstall the old driver.
